Pratyush Aman Barik of Topgun Shooting Academy hogged the limelight by winning two gold and 1 silver medal at the recently concluded Delhi State Shooting Championship held at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range.
The 17-year-old Pratyush, who is being mentored by former India shooter Shimon Sharif, became the youth and junior men’s champion in the 10m Air Rifle events. He also won silver in the senior category.
“Our academy is a factory for producing champions. Every year new people join us and we help them reach their potential,” said Shimon Sharif, who was the first rifle shooter from Delhi to represent India at the World Cup.
Paarth Makhija, who was identified and nurtured by the academy, won gold in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle Team at the recent ISSF World Cup in Changwon, Korea.
