Suruchi Singh and Saurabh Chaudhary after clinching Bronze in 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team - ISSF

Suruchi Singh and Saurabh Chaudhary clinched bronze in 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team, defeating compatriots Manu Bhaker and Ravinder Singh 16-8 in an all-Indian bronze medal match on the final day of the ISSF World Cup in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The medal marked Suruchi Singh’s second podium finish of the competition, having already claimed gold in Women’s 10m Air Pistol earlier in the week. For 2018 Asian Games champion Saurabh Chaudhary, it was a welcome return to form, as he earned his first ISSF medal in two years.

The Indian duo narrowly missed out on a place in the gold medal match, finishing qualification with a combined score of 581 — just one point behind both Chinese teams, who topped the leaderboard with identical scores of 582. Manu Bhaker and Ravinder Singh placed fourth after shooting 579.

Saurabh was instrumental in securing the bronze, displaying consistency throughout the final. His standout moment came in the 12th series, where he fired a precise 10.7, effectively sealing the victory for the Indian pair.

In the gold medal match, the Chinese team of Ma Qianke and Zhang Yifan edged out their compatriots Yao Qianxun and Hu Kai with a 16-10 win, securing both gold and silver for China.

The win further solidified China’s dominance at the competition, as they finished atop the medal standings with five golds, two silvers, and three bronzes. India followed closely in second place, concluding the competition with four golds, two silvers, and two bronzes.
