The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) has taken a bold step towards modernizing and expanding the reach of shooting sport with the approval of the E-Sports, E-Games, and Technological Innovations Committee. The decision, made during the ISSF General Assembly in Rome, Italy, reflects the organization’s ambition to make shooting sport more accessible and appealing to new audiences, particularly younger generations.

ISSF President Luciano Rossi emphasized the importance of this initiative as part of his vision to transform the ISSF into a global hub for all shooting sport enthusiasts.

“This ‘home’ must also welcome young people who have a fresh approach to the world of shooting,” said Rossi. “That is why we are focusing on esports, a rapidly expanding field, with the ambition of becoming leaders and participating in future Virtual Olympics.”

The newly established committee, comprising five members, will spearhead plans to create a vibrant and healthy virtual environment for the shooting sports community.
