In a thrilling display of precision, Akshaya and Koushiki Chauhan emerged victorious in the Race to 5 Match at the TOPGUN CUP in Gurugram. Competing in the rifle and pistol categories, both athletes displayed nerves of steel, outgunning their male counterparts and proving that shooting is truly a gender-neutral sport.
The Race to 5 Match featured the top five shooters from the qualification rounds in each event. In the rifle category, the finalists included Akshaya, Rudra Sondhi, Nirvair Anand, Aashi Bharthuar and Divya Dhemiwal. In the pistol event, the top five shooters were Koushiki, Ayush Upadhaya, Yagya Mehru, Ojasvi Narwal and Preet Kamal.
In each round, the shooter with the highest-scoring shot earned a point, and the first to reach 5 points claimed victory, making it a battle of both skill and mental toughness. Akshaya and Koushiki excelled under pressure, both using Steyr rifles and pistols to secure their wins.
