Olympians Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar and Divyansh Singh Panwar won the gold and silver respectively in men’s 10m air rifle at the ongoing World University Games in Chengdu, China.
It was the second individual gold for the 22-year-old Aishwary who had earlier won gold in the 50m rifle three positions.
Aishwary qualified with the third best score of 631.7 and led from start to finish to take the top spot of the podium with 252.6 in the final. Compatriot Divyansh finished second with 251.0 (630.7). The third Indian shooter Arjun Babuta also made the final with the second best 632.3, but ended up eighth.
India also won the team gold with a 12.8 point margin over China (1881) while Kazakhstan (1878.2) took the bronze.
