    Tejaswini Sawant wins three position gold at KSS

    Former World Champion Tejaswini Sawant won the gold in the Women’s 50m Rifle Three Position at the 17th Kumar Surendra Singh Memorial Shooting Championship in New Delhi.

    Tejaswini of Maharashtra, who had lost the gold to her coach Kuheli Gangulee in the prone event on Saturday, shot 454.7 to pip Aditi Singh of Haryana by 1.3 points at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range.

    Dilreen Gill of Punjab who topped the qualification round with a score of 581 won the bronze ahead of veteran Anjali Bhagwat.

    Shreya Saxena of Jammu & Kashmir won gold in the junior women event after beating Prasiddhi of Madhya Pradesh by a huge margin of 10.4 points. Shreya Purohit, also of Madhya Pradesh won the bronze.

    Amanpreet Singh shoots gold in standard pistol

    In the Men 25m Standard Pistol, Amanpreet Singh of ONGC won ahead of Mahaveer Singh after both were tied on 572.

    Anish Bhanwala from Haryana, who had won the men’s rapid fire gold on Saturday, continued to impress by winning the junior gold in standard pistol with a score of 568.

    Anhad Jawanda of Punjab shot 562 to win the silver while Shivam Shukla of the Air Force shot 558 to win the bronze.

    Junior Women’s 50m Rifle Three Position: 1. Shreya Saksena 452.6 (571); 2. Prasiddhi 442.2 (568); 3. Shreya Purohit 426.0 (556).

    Men’s 25m Standard Pistol: 1. Amanpreet Singh 572; 2. Mahaveer Singh 572; 3. Vijay Kumar 570

    Junior Men’s 25m Standard Pistol: 1. Anish Bhanwala 568; 2. Anhad Jawanda 462; 3. Shivam Shukla 558.
