    Teenage shooting star Saurabh Chaudhary of Uttar Pradesh asserted his class by winning the men 10m air pistol (T6) at the ongoing National Selection Trials being held at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi.

    Tokyo Olympic quota winner Saurabh shot a score of 580 to qualify for the final in the seventh place. However in the final, Saurabh was bang on target as he registered 245.4 to claim the top spot with a margin of 1.5 point.

    Another shooter from Uttar Pradesh, Sharvan Kumar, who gave Saurabh a good fight in the final and even took the lead after the 16th shot, finished second with 243.9.

    The third place was won by ISSF World Cup silver medallist Amanpreet Singh of ONGC.

    Sharvan, who shot a qualification score of 581, shot 246.3 to clinch the top spot with a huge margin of 5.1 points in the juniors and the second spot with 243.0 in youth, 0.6 point behind Naveen (243.6) of Haryana.

    Gaurav Rana took the second place in the junior while Mukesh Nelavalli of Andhra Pradesh finished third.

    The third spot in the youth event was taken by Adil Khan of Uttar Pradesh.
