Indian para shooters got off to a great start by bagging five medals, including three gold on the opening day of the WSPS World Cup in Osijek, Croatia.
Paralympic champion Avani Lekhara, who won the silver in the last World Cup in June, bettered her performance to win the gold this time with a score of 248.3.

Swaroop Unhalkar clinched the gold with a score of 245.9 in men’s 10m air rifle standing SH1. He was in a close contest with Hungary’s Csaba Rescsik, who lost the gold to the Indian by a difference of 0.9. Radoslav Malenovsky of Slovakia took the bronze with 223.7.
India won three spots of the podium n the Mixed 25m Pistol SH1. Rahul Jakhar won the gold with 27 points. Amir Ahmad Bhat won the silver with 21 while Nihal Singh took the bronze with 18.
