A 41-member strong Indian shooting squad will look to secure the maximum possible Olympic quotas in the 14th Asian Shooting Championship, which begins today in Doha, Qatar.

A total of thirty-eight Olympic quotas will be up for grabs at the last Olympic qualifying event for the Asian shooters.

While the men and women have been camping in Doha, preparing for the Asian Championship, the national junior team left for the competition on Friday.

This will be the last chance for Indian shooters to add to the nine Olympic quota places that they have won, so far, for the Tokyo 2020 Games.

The shotgun shooters have not been able to claim a single quota so far and hence all eyes will be on the likes of former world champion Manavjit Sandhu, Olympians Kynan Chenai and Mairaj Ahmad Khan, to win the ticket to Tokyo.
