    The 67th National Shooting Championship is poised to break records, with 13,522 shooters set to compete across various events. The championship kicks off on December 11, with shotgun events at the Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi. Pistol events will commence on December 13 at the same venue, while rifle competitions are scheduled for December 15-31 at the Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy in Bhopal.

    This year’s championship has drawn unprecedented numbers, with 837 participants in shotgun events, 5,672 in pistol, and a record-breaking 7,013 in rifle events. The competition features 40 teams, representing states, union territories, armed forces, and institutions like ONGC and Railways.

    Performances at the Nationals will be critical in selecting the Indian shooting team for the 2025 international season, underscoring the event’s significance. The shotgun events will span over a month, concluding on January 19, 2025. Pistol nationals will run until January 5, while the rifle events in Bhopal will conclude by the year-end.
