India’s latest shooting sensation Manu Bhaker won her third gold medal at the ongoing ISSF Junior World Cup in Sydney, Australia and her fifth international gold of this month.
On the penultimate day of competition, partnering with another talented shooter Anmol Jain, Manu won the gold this time in the Mixed 10m Air Pistol Team with a Qualification Junior World Record of 770.
The Indian pair shot a score of 478.9 in the finals to claim India’s seventh gold at this competition.
The two youngsters continued their fine form from the qualification to take a lead after the very first shot in the finals, finishing with a clear margin of 5.6 points ahead of China Liu Jinyao and Li Xue.
The silver and bronze medals were both won by China, as Liu Jinyao and Li Xue finished 2nd with 473.3 while Wang Zhehao and Xiao Jiaruixuan took the 3rd place with 410.7.
A second Indian team, comprising Gaurav Rana and Mahima Turhi Agrawal finished 4th, leaving the final at the 38th shot mark with 370.2.
Shreya and Arjun win bronze in Air Rifle Mixed Team 
In the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team, Shreya Agrawal and Arjun Babuta won the bronze with a score of 432.8 while Elavenil Valarivan and Tejas Krishna Prasad finished 4th with 389.1.
This is Arjun’s second bronze after his individual bronze in air rifle on opening day of the competition.
