Shreyasi Singh bagged a gold, her second individual medal, at the 61st National Shotgun Championship being held at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi.
Shreyasi, representing Bihar,┬áshot 92 (20,24,26,22) to defend her double trap title with a five-point margin over Madhya Pradesh’s Varsha Varman.
Varsha won silver with 87 (20,24,22,21) hits while Shagun Chowdhary of ONGC took the bronze with 84 (20,20,22,22).
Shreyasi had earlier won bronze while Shagun had won gold in women’s trap.
In women’s team, Manisha (75), Aman Basit (70) and Shalini Yashwant (58) shot a total score of 203 to win gold for Madhya Pradesh.
Bhavna Chaudhary wins junior gold
In the junior category, Haryana Bhavna Chaudhary clinched the gold with a total of 79 (25,19,17,18) hits. Manisha Keer of Madhya Pradesh shot 75 (18,22,17,18) to win the silver while Delhi’s Divya Singh took the bronze with 70 (14,20,16,20) hits.
In the junior team, Manisha (75) along with Shefali Rajak (67) and Mahima Vishwakarma (52) shot a total score of 194 to win gold for Madhya Pradesh.
