Paarth Makhija has been selected to represent Delhi in the men’s 10m air rifle and mixed team events at the Goa National Games to be held from October 26 to November 9th.
Paarth is the only shooter from Delhi to be selected in the individual event while he would be joined by Bhavika Tiwari in the mixed team event.
The 22-year-old Paarth, who was identified and nurtured by Topgun Shooting Academy, had won gold in men’s 10m air rifle team at the Lima Junior World Championship in 2021 and gold in men’s 10m air rifle team at the Changwon World Cup in 2022.
“It’s a matter of pride to represent your state at the National Games. I am sure Delhi shooters will do their best and make us proud,” said Shimon Sharif, international shooter and founder of Topgun Shooting Academy, who has won multiple medals for Delhi at the National Games.
